Airbnb Revenue Analyzer — Chrome Extension

Overview

Airbnb Revenue Analyzer ("the Extension") estimates monthly rental revenue for Airbnb listings by reading publicly visible page data. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about what data we access and how we use it.

Data We Access

When you visit an Airbnb listing page, the Extension reads the following publicly visible information from the page:

• Nightly price displayed on the listing
• Calendar availability (blocked/available dates)
• Number of reviews and average rating
• Listing title and URL

This data is processed entirely on your device to generate revenue estimates. It is not sent to any external server.

Data We Store Locally

The Extension uses chrome.storage.local to store the following data on your device:

• Analysis history — A list of previously analyzed listings (title, URL, estimated revenue) so you can review past estimates in the popup.
• Daily usage count — A simple counter of how many analyses you run per day, displayed in the popup.
• Anonymous client ID — A randomly generated UUID used solely for anonymous analytics (see below). This ID cannot be linked to your identity.

All locally stored data can be cleared by removing the Extension.

Anonymous Analytics

The Extension sends anonymous usage events to Google Analytics 4 via the Measurement Protocol. These events include:

• Extension install and update events
• Analysis execution events (that an analysis was run, not the listing details)

These events are associated with a randomly generated client ID and contain no personally identifiable information. No listing URLs, prices, or browsing history are sent to Google Analytics.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• Personal information (name, email, address, phone number)
• Authentication credentials or passwords
• Browsing history or activity on non-Airbnb websites
• Financial or payment information
• Location data
• Keystrokes, clicks, or mouse movements

Third-Party Services

The only third-party service used is Google Analytics 4 for anonymous usage statistics. Google's privacy policy applies to the data they receive: Google Privacy Policy.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, transfer, or share any user data with third parties, except for the anonymous analytics events sent to Google Analytics as described above.

Permissions

• activeTab — To access the currently open Airbnb listing page and read visible pricing and calendar data.
• storage — To save analysis history and preferences locally on your device.
• Host permissions (airbnb.com and regional domains) — To inject the content script that reads listing data and displays the revenue estimate overlay on Airbnb pages.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date below. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
